Day 1: Reykjavik

Meet and greet upon arrival at Reykjavik Airport and transfer to your Hotel. Check in Hotel. Rest of the day is free at leisure. Overnight at Radisson Blu Hotel.

Day 2: Sólheimajökull Glacier Hike, Optional Ice Climbing and Skógafoss Waterfall (B)

Meet your expert guide in Reykjavik and depart by comfortable coach to Iceland’s south coast. Hike up Sólheimjökull, on the southwestern tip of Mýrdalsjökull Mountain, and after roughly an hour, arrive at the glacier’s famous ice walls. Under expert supervision, try your hand at ice climbing if you wish. On route back to Reykjavik, stop at the Skógafoss Waterfall to gaze in awe at the beautiful cascades that allow Skógafoss to rival Gullfoss as the country’s most famous waterfall. Day 3: Golden Circle and Hvítá River Rafting (B, L)

Set off early for your day of exploring the Golden Circle, the popular Icelandic tour route home to three natural sights that you’ll see with your guide: Þingvellir National Park, Gullfoss Waterfall and the Geysir hot springs before you head up for an adrenaline pumping white-water rafting experience down the Hvítá River. Day 4: Whale Watching and Blue Lagoon (B)

Meet your guide and cruise into the open sea from Reykjavik harbour on a whale-watching adventure. Your guide will tell you how to spot different species, including minkes and humpbacks; keep your eyes open for the dolphins and porpoises, too! After lunch at leisure in Reykjavik, visit the popular Blue Lagoon geothermal spa. Relax in the steamy waters with roughly two hours to spend at your leisure before returning to Reykjavik. Day 5: Private Sightseeing and Northern Light (B)

Begin your tour with pick-up from your centrally located Reykjavik hotel and follow your guide on a whistle-stop tour of the city. Hop out to snap photos of the Hallgrimskirkja church, famous for its unique architecture; watch the cruise ships dock at the Port of Reykjavík and see landmarks like City Hall, the Althing parliament building and the glass-domed Perlan. Your itinerary is yours to personalize as you wish, so you could choose to explore the waterfront sights like the Sun Voyager sculpture and the Harpa concert hall, or visit nearby Laugardalur, known for its parks, botanic gardens and thermal pools. Alternatively, tour the city’s cultural sites and spot the National Museum of Iceland, the Árbæjarsafn Folk Museum and Sigurjón Ólafsson Museum. End your tour with drop-off at your hotel. Begin your guided Northern Lights Hunt from Reykjavik with pick-up from your central hotel, then head out of the city to hunt down the best viewing points. Learn more about nature’s dazzling lightshow from your guide as you soak up the scenery of Iceland by night. Stop at prime viewing points along the way and if you’re lucky, get chance to witness the spectacular Aurora Borealis and take some unforgettable photos.
